Ex-Liverpool Boss : Coutinho & Sterling's Form Kept Victor Moses Out Of Starting XIFormer Liverpool coach Brendan Rodgers has suggested that the form of Philippe Coutinho and Raheem Sterling kept Victor Moses out of the starting line-up during his loan spell with the Anfield side in the 2013-2014 campaign.

The Nigeria international found game time hard to come by at Liverpool, making only six Premier League starts over the course of the campaign and logging 644 minutes, whereas he was named in the starting line-up 12 times in his first season at Chelsea.

''I took Victor Moses with me to Liverpool. He didn’t play as much, but [Phillippe] Coutinho was playing one side and [Raheem] Sterling the other and they were doing great. He still had games in that season,'' Rodgers was quoted as saying by Daily Record.

''I’ve taken Jack Cork and Liam Bridcutt from Chelsea, who did great. Across the board, I’ve taken lots of players from lots of clubs and given them opportunities.

''Ultimately, it’s down to the players.''

Moses would make his 24th start in the Premier League this term if he is included in the starting line-up against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.
