Signs Are Good Super Eagles Fans Favorite Joel Obi Will Be Fit For World CupTorino have provided a fresh update on the condition of Nigeria international Joel Obi ahead of their final home game of the season against SPAL on Sunday, May 13.

The Italian Serie A club have informed that the attacking midfielder was at Filadelfia with other first-teamers on Friday afternoon but worked alone.

The Inter Milan youth product has not been in action for Torino since April 18 due to a muscle-related injury and he is unlikely to be named in the club's provisional squad if he doesn't participate in the final workout tomorrow afternoon.

The signs are good that Obi will be fully fit before Nigeria's next important friendly against England on June 2, provided that he does not suffer a relapse.

Two days ago, he posted a 13-second video on Instagram captioned 'Back on Track' in which he was spotted working out in the gym, suggesting that he is on the road to full recovery.

The Super Eagles star has been involved in 25 games in all competitions this season, including important matches against Inter Milan, AC Milan, Juventus and AS Roma.

Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr still has Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City), Oghenekaro Etebo (Las Palmas) and Tyronne Ebuehi (ADO Den Haag) in the treatment room, three days before he is forced to announce a 35-man provisional World Cup roster by Fifa.
