Messi's Biggest Fan May Not Attend World Cup Cracker Against Nigeria
Argentine President Mauricio Macri may not attend the 2018 World Cup Group D fixture between the two-time world champions and Nigeria, according to various reports emanating from the South American country.

La Nacion says Macri must decide whether to stay at home and help negotiate a line of credit from the International Monetary Fund, or travel to Russia and watch Argentina's group games.

The duration of the talks is scheduled for around six weeks and La Albiceleste will battle Iceland in their World Cup opener on June 16, followed by games against Croatia (June 21) and Nigeria (June 26).

Mauricio Macri is a huge fan of Lionel Messi and convinced the Barcelona superstar to rescind his decision to retire prematurely from the national team in 2016.

The 59-year-old politician was the president of Argentine super club Boca Juniors 1996–2007.

It has been speculated that he will travel to Russia if Argentina qualify for the knockout stages of the 2018 World Cup.

Nigeria and Argentina will face off at Krestovsky Stadium, Saint Petersburg for the fifth time at the World Cup.
