Official: Talented Nigerian Striker Umerah Extends Contract At Charlton Athletic
EFL League One club Charlton Athletic have published their retained list following the conclusion of the 2017-2018 season.

One of the decisions taken by the club was to extend the contract of promising Nigerian striker Joshua Umerah until June 30, 2019.

Another talented player of Nigerian descent in the shape of Joe Aribo, Charlton's Young Player of the Year for 2018, has also been retained by the club, and the same goes for former Manchester United schoolboy Nicholas Ajose.

Born in Catford, England, Umerah has been on the books of Charlton Athletic for ten years and rose through the ranks before making his first team debut against Hull City in January 2016.

He spent a portion of the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 seasons on loan at Kilmarnock and Wycombe Wanderers respectively.

Josh Umerah has no caps for his country of birth, England.
