Ex-Super Eagles Left Back Babayaro Named In Chelsea Squad To Face Inter Milan
Former Nigeria international Celestine Babayaro is in line to wear Chelsea's shirt once again when the Legends squad face Inter Forever at Stamford Bridge on Friday night.

The game is in memory of Ray Wilkins, ex-Chelsea midfielder who passed away at the age of 61 on 4 April 2018.

Babayaro is amongst nine defenders named on the 22-man roster by Chelsea and will compete with ex-England star Graeme Le Saux for the left-back spot.

Other players of African descent invited to play in the charity game are Marcel Desailly and Michael Essien.

Babayaro was Chelsea's most expensive teenager when he joined the club from Anderlecht in 1997 for a transfer fee of £2.25 million.

He spent eight years at Stamford Bridge before moving to Premier League rivals Newcastle United in January 2005.

Now 39, he was part of the Chelsea side that won the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup and UEFA Super Cup in 1998 and the FA Cup in 2000.
