The Real Reason Ludogorets Passed Up Opportunity To Sign World Cup Hopeful Lokosa
Published: May 19, 2018PFC Ludogorets Razgrad have passed up the opportunity to sign Super Eagles invitee Junior Lokosa.
According to Sportal Bulgaria, coach of the Bulgarian champions, Dimitar Dimitrov, insisted on watching him during a training session or two-sided game because there was a controversial information about him.
Lokosa's agent had announced that his client would directly sign a contract with Ludogorets but the club say the Kano Pillars star does not have the necessary level to play for the team and it will be easier for the players in the academy to break into the first team than the Nigerian.
Lokosa earned a spot on Nigeria's 30-man provisional World Cup roster after scoring 18 goals for Kano Pillars in the Nigerian Professional Football League.
The 24-year-old is expected to begin training with the Super Eagles at their get-together in Uyo next week.
Three Nigerian players Stephen Eze, Mustapha Abdullahi and Musa Muhammad represented PFC Lokomotiv Plovdiv this season.
