Ex-Chelsea, Arsenal & Liverpool Defender Appointed Man Utd Ladies Coach
Manchester United are set to announce the appointment of former England international Casey Stoney as the coach of their Ladies team, according to various reports in the English press, including Daily Mail

The 36-year-old called time on her playing career in February 2018 after agreeing to join England Women head coach Phil Neville's backroom staff.

In March, Manchester United applied to the Football Association to establish a professional women’s team in the second tier of the Women’s Super League and will find out if their application was approved later this month.

Stoney started off her career with the youth teams of Chelsea and Arsenal, and spent time at Charlton Athletic and Lincoln before joining Liverpool in 2016.

The defender earned 130 caps for the Three Lionesses and was captain of the Great Britain team at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Manchester United Women's Team would be based at the club's historic training centre at The Cliff.
