Official: Manchester City Announce Signing Of Liverpool Midfielder
Published: June 01, 2018 Through a statement on their official website, Manchester City have announced the signing of Scotland international Caroline Weir from Liverpool Ladies.
The 22-year-old midfielder has committed her future to City for the next two and a half years.
The 2016 Scotland’s Player of the Year turned out for Hibernian Ladies, Arsenal Ladies and Bristol Academy prior to her transfer to The Reds in January 2016.
In her first words as a City player, Weir said : ''I’m really excited to be here. It’s a great club and I’m really delighted to be a part of it.
''City are leading the way in the women’s game in so many different ways.
''There are so many great players here and I think it’s a challenge to compete for trophies and try to improve – which is what brought me here.''

Weir will represent Manchester City Women in next season's UEFA Women’s Champions League.
