Omeruo : Being A Player Of Chelsea Made It Easier To Understand England Stars
Speaking in the mixed zone following Nigeria's 2-1 loss to England on Saturday evening, Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo has revealed that manager Gernot Rohr informed the players to be prepared to change formation during the friendly.

Omeruo was introduced at half-time as replacement for Leon Balogun as Rohr shifted to three at the back, and the former Golden Eaglets star and John Ogu ensured that the Super Eagles did not concede in the second stanza.

''The team is more comfortable playing four (man defense) but the manager said we have to be ready to change,'' Omeruo told reporters.

''He wants his team to be able to play depending on the formation the other opponent is playing and we saw the difference in today's game, it was a big difference. ''

Asked if it was easier to respond to the England players because he's a Chelsea player, Omeruo said : ''I think I will say a bit. We are all watch the Premier League, and I know some of the guys as well, so we just knew as a team we had to fight in the second half.

''We lost but it was a good second half, the crowd was amazing, Nigerians came out to support and you could see they were not disappointed at the final whistle.''

Nigeria's last pre-World Cup friendly will be against Czech Republic at Rudolf-Tonn-Stadion in Austria on June 6.
