Iceland Assistant Coach On 2-2 Draw Vs Ghana: They Are No Different To Nigeria
Nigeria's second Group D opponents at the 2018 World Cup, Iceland, were forced to settle for a 2-2 with Ghana in their final international match before their trip to Russia.

The Icelandic team started the game well, scoring through Kari Arnason and Alfred Finnbogason in the first half, but second half goals from Kasim Nuhu and Atletico Madrid's Thomas Partey saw the match finish 2-2.

''We received a lot of positive answers in these two friendly games against Norway and Ghana ," said Iceland's assistant coach Helgi Kolviðsson to Morgunblaðið.

''Ghana has a very strong team and they are not at all different to Nigeria, and it was good for boys to play this game tonight.

''The goal of these two friendlies was that people were healthy when they arrrive in Russia and it succeeded.''

Iceland open their World Cup campaign against Argentina at Otkritie Arena in Moscow on June 16 before they face the Super Eagles six days later in Volgograd.
