Benfica Newbie Ebuehi Vows Not To Turn His Back On Nigeria, Competitive Debut Or Not
Speaking through his bonafide agent, former Feyenoord midfielder Wessel Weezenberg, new Benfica signing Tyronne Ebuehi has vowed not to turn his back on the Nigeria whether or not he makes his competitive debut for Nigeria at the 2018 World Cup.

Haarlem-born Ebuehi used to play football with William Troost-Ekong during their formative years, but the first choice central defender is cap-tied to Nigeria while Ebuehi has yet to make his competitive debut for the Super Eagles.

And what this means is that the Dutch Federation can still lure him to play for the Netherlands senior team if he is not handed his competitive bow by Gernot Rohr in Russia.

''Tyronne is confident he can help Nigeria in this World Cup, if the coach needs him he is ready, '' Wessel Weezenberg told allnigeriasoccer.com.

''He made a definite choice for Nigeria.''

Ebuehi, 22, made his debut for Nigeria against Togo a year ago, and was involved in all the Super Eagles pre-World Cup friendlies against Argentina, Poland, Serbia, DR Congo, England and recently against Czech Republic, a sign that he is set to make his competitive debut this month.
