Injured Balogun Misses Training Pre-Croatia; Super Eagles Land In Kaliningrad
The Super Eagles landed in Kaliningrad on Thursday evening ahead of their 2018 World Cup opener against Croatia this weekend, allnigeriasoccer.com is reporting.

New Brighton & Hove signing Leon Balogun was part of the traveling contingent to Kaliningrad but is doubtful to make his World Cup debut on Saturday.

Balogun is sidelined with an injury and didn't take part in the workout on Thursday morning before the team's departure; manager Gernot Rohr is awaiting the results of a scan which will determine the central defender's availability for the game with the Balkans.

The Super Eagles will stay at the Mercure Hotel in Kaliningrad for the next three days before returning to their base camp in  Essentuki, a day after their meeting with Croatia.

They will have a feel of the Kaliningrad Stadium pitch by 1700 hours on Friday, and an hour later the obligatory pre-match conference will hold.

Nigeria's first opponents at the 2018 World Cup flew to Kaliningrad this evening.
