Croatia Coach : Nigeria Are Optimistic Because They Have Chelsea, Arsenal, Leicester Players
Published: June 14, 2018The Croatia National Team have arrived in Kaliningrad ahead of their World Cup opener against Nigeria on Saturday.
The Croatian players and officials, who will be accommodated at the Radisson Hotel during their stay in Kaliningrad, were welcomed to the city by their fans and journalists.
Manager Zlatko Dalić asked the journalists about the mood in the Nigeria camp and they told him that the players were very relaxed and optimistic.
Dalic added, as reported by Sportske Novosti, : ''They have the right to be optimistic, they have players playing in Chelsea, Arsenal, Leicester .''
Based on the Super Eagles training sessions in Austria and Essentuki, Victor Moses, Alex Iwobi and Wilfred Ndidi are set to start against Croatia barring an injury in training.
Nigeria will hold their first training session in Kaliningrad on Friday evening and their opponents are also expected to train at the stadium provided the pitch is in excellent condition.
