Iceland Assistant Coach : Nigeria Are A Stronger Team Than Ghana
Iceland assistant coach Helgi Koldvidsson believes the Super Eagles are a stronger team than their West African rivals Ghana.

Iceland threw a two-goal lead as strikes from Nuhu and Partey gave the Black Stars a 2-2 draw in a pre-World Cup friendly held at Laugardalsvöllur (Reykjavík) on June 7.

''We saw in that game that [Ghana] are really good one against one. Nigeria has even stronger players. They are trying to look for situations were they can get one on one,'' Koldvidsson told reporters.

''They won't be trying to play through us which was the main thing in the Argentinian match.''

Nigeria must beat Iceland to keep alive their chances of advancing to the round of sixteen for the fourth time in six World Cup appearances.

Burnley winger Johann Berg Gudmundsson tore a muscle in Iceland's 1-1 draw with Argentina last weekend and is doubtful for Friday's match against Nigeria at the Volgograd Arena.
