Sergio Aguero Unlikely To Play Against Nigeria After Falling Out With Argentina Coach?
Published: June 24, 2018Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is unlikely to be fielded when Argentina tackle Nigeria in a crucial World Cup match on Tuesday, El Chiringuito Television reporter Jose Alvarez Haya has claimed.
Haya has said that the Argentina number 19 will not participate in the match scheduled to hold in St. Petersburg due to a conflict with head coach Jorge Sampaoli.
Aguero has scored La Albiceleste's only goal so far in the 2018 World Cup, in the 19th minute of their 1-1 draw with Iceland.
''Kun Aguero WON'T play in the decisive match against Nigeria. Sampaoli will punish him for everything that happened the other day but publicly will justify it by sport reasons,'' Haya posted on Twitter.
''Then will be out Argentina's only goal scorer in the World Cup that has played two very good games.''
Argentina lie bottom in the Group D standings and will be eliminated from the tournament if they lose or draw with Nigeria on June 26.
