Official: Chelsea Announce Teenage Nigerian Winger Has Moved On To Pastures New
Published: July 03, 2018Through a statement on their official website, Premier League side Chelsea have informed that they have ended their association with promising Nigerian winger Tushaun Walters.
This is only a confirmation by the London club that Walters is moving on to pastures new in the upcoming season as the Premier League listed the teenager amongst the released players on June 13.
The attacking wide player penned a short team deal with the Blues in the summer of 2017 following a successful trial.
Aged 18, he previously wore the jerseys of Tottenham Hotspur as a schoolboy and non-league side Abbey Rangers prior to his transfer to Chelsea.
Walters has left Chelsea without appearing for their first team and U23s but figured in 13 matches in the U18 Premier League, scoring one goal over the course of the 2017-18 campaign.
Victor Moses, Kenneth Omeruo, Ola Aina, Fikayo Tomori, Ike Ugbo, Tammy Abraham, Tariq Uwakwe and Faustino Anjorin remain on the books of Chelsea for the time being.
