CSKA Moscow Mulling Over Move For Super Eagles Utility Man
Russian Premier League club CSKA Moscow are mulling over a move for Nigeria international Brian Idowu, as per reports.

Sports.ru says the Army Men are interested in signing the versatile Super Eagles defender but negotiations with the player have yet to begin.

Some unnamed mid-table teams in the Russian Premier League are also monitoring the situation of Brian Idowu.

The Saint Petersburg-born Idowu is free to talk to interested clubs as Amkar Perm stopped being a going concern last month and on top of that he is being owed wages by the club.

Russian Premier League rules state that Idowu will now be classed as a foreigner despite being a Russian citizen as he made his competitive debut for the Nigerian National Team against Croatia on June 16.

The 26-year-old has spent the whole of his career in Russia, playing for Smena-Zenit, Zenit St. Petersburg, Dynamo St. Petersburg and Amkar Perm.
