Official: Three Nigerian Starlets Promoted By Reading After Signing Professional Contracts
Three talented Nigerian players have signed their first professional contracts with EFL Championship club Reading.

The official website of the Royals has reported that Jamal Balogun, Akinwale Oidmayo and Moroyin Omolabi are among seven players that have put pen to paper on new deals ahead of the new season.

In addition, the trio have been promoted to Reading U23 team in the forthcoming season.

The 18-year-old center back Odimayo captained Reading U18 team last term and had an impressive 43 games under his belt across all levels, including seven appearances for the reserve team.

Among his achievements for Reading last season was the six goals he scored from his defensive position.

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Omolabi was an unused substitute for Reading U23s when they visited Aston Villa in March.

Jamal Balogun, 18, will be hoping to establish himself in the U23 team, having made only appearance against Aston Villa, playing as a central defender, in 2018.

Super Eagles striker Sone Aluko and ex-Portugal youth-teamer Tiago Ilori play for the first team of Reading.
