Official: Derby County Sign Ex-Arsenal Winger Aaron Eyoma
Published: July 06, 2018EFL Championship side Derby County have secured the services of out-of-contract Nigerian winger, Aaron Eyoma, who was last on the books of Premier League club Arsenal.
The 20-year-old wideman has appended his signature to a one-year deal with The Rams following a successful trial.
Eyoma gave a good account of himself in two test matches against the U23 teams of Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.
''I came here knowing that Derby was a big Championship club that was renowned for played attractive football, similar to what I had been used to at Arsenal. That was a big appeal for me,'' Eyoma said to Derby's official website.
''I was there for eight years and made a lot friends during that time with the players and coaches. It was a time for a fresh start, though, and I am delighted to be here.''
Eyoma departs Arsenal without making his professional debut and was loaned out to Dutch club FC Volendam in January 2017.
His sibling, Tottenham Hotspur's Timothy Eyoma, assisted England to win the 2017 Fifa U17 World Cup held in India.
