Official: Ex-Lazio Youth Team Skipper Folorunsho Extends Virtus Francavilla Contract
Michael Ijemuan Folorunsho has penned a new deal with Virtus Francavilla, the Italian Serie C side reported on their official website on Sunday, July 8.

The central midfielder has penned a contract which will see him remain at the third-tier club until the end of the 2020-2021 season.

The leadership of Virtus Francavilla has faith in Folorunsho so much so that the youngster has been offered a new contract despite the fact that he just recovered from injury.

Last season, the 20-year-old appeared in 31 games in all tournaments and was on target against Sicula Leonzio on February 25.

Born in Rome, Folorunsho had a three-year spell with capital outfit Lazio from 2014-2017 and the highlight of his stay at the club was when he made the bench for the quarterfinals of the Italian Cup between Lazio and Inter at the Meazza Stadium in January 2017.

He captained Lazio Primavera squad during the 2016-17 campaign and has played for the youth teams of Sapienza and Savio in the past.
