Published: July 11, 2018
Premier League club Arsenal have completed the signing of Matteo Guendouzi from Lorient.
The 19-year-old deep-lying midfielder joins the Gunners for a fee reported to be in the region of €8 million, including bonuses.
The former Paris Saint Germain youth teamer made 21 appearances in all competitions last season and has been tipped to move onto greater things.
Speaking to the club's official website site, arsenal.com, the new acquisition said, "It's something I'm immensely proud of. Arsenal have always been the team closest to my heart and a side I've wanted to join since I was a child.
"It gives me great pride – it's incredible. I hope I can do great things here. It doesn't get any better than coming to a club like this, with so much history, like Arsenal.
"I'm hugely proud."
