Shrewsbury Town New Boy Okenabirhie Nets Brace Vs Kidderminster Harriers Former Arsenal youth teamer, Fejiri Okenabirhie is off to a flying start for new club, Shrewsbury Town after scoring twice in a 3-0 win over Kidderminster Harriers in a pre-season game held behind closed doors on Wednesday 11th, July.

The 22-year old had joined The Salop from Dagenham and Redbridge on 9th June and has set about impressing his new employers.

The striker scored two brilliant goals for John Askey's side in the first 45 minutes before the manager made wholesome reshuffle for the second stanza of the game.

Prior to his move to the Worcestershire-based club, Okenabirhie scored 19 goals in 70 National League games for Dagenham and Redbridge, including 12 in 38 outings last season.

He had long been on the radar of the Nigeria Football Federation who had weighed the prospect of convincing him to commit his international future to Nigeria rather than his home of birth, England.

Okenabirhie has previously worn the colours of Harrow Borough, Royston Town, Cambridge City, Farnborough, Bedford Town and Stevenage.
