Chelsea has officially announced the capture of erstwhile Napoli manager, Maurizio Sarri on a three-year deal, a publication on the club's official website has revealed.

The 59-year old replaces his compatriot, Antonio Conte who severed ties with the Blues after a lot of speculations throughout the summer.

''I look forward to starting work and meeting the players on Monday ahead of travelling to Australia, where I will be able to get to know the squad and begin our match action.

''I hope we can provide some entertaining football for our fans, and that we will be competing for trophies at the end of the season, which is what this club deserves."

Sarri has spent most part of his managerial career with clubs in his home country : Pescara, Arezzo, Avellino, Hellas Verona, Perugia, Alessandria and Sorrento.

Victor Moses, Ola Aina, Kenneth Omeruo, Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori will hope to impress the new man at the helm ahead of the new season.
