Loan Number Fourteen And Counting: Chelsea Loan Out Goalkeeper To Leeds United
Published: July 16, 2018 Through a statement on their official website, EFL Championship club Leeds United have confirmed the signing of former England U19 international Jamal Blackman.
The Chelsea goalkeeper has joined the Whites on a season-long loan and becomes the fourteenth player loaned out by the Londoners ahead of the forthcoming season.
Speaking on the deal, Blackman said : ''I'm really happy, I am really looking forward to it, it's going to be a really good season. Hopefully big things to come from this club.
''Speaking with the manager and the staff and then coming up from Chelsea, it looked a good step for me in the right direction and obviously try to push as much as possible to be close to the first team, it's such a big club you want to show what you can do on the bigger stages.''

Blackman, who has been on the books of Chelsea for twelve years, previously enjoyed loan spells at Middlesbrough, östersunds FK, Wycombe Wanderers and Sheffield United.
