Official: Israeli Giants Maccabi Tel Aviv Sign Chikeluba Ofoedu To Two-Year Deal

Israeli Premier League powerhouse Maccabi Tel Aviv have reported through their official website that they have completed the signing of Nigerian striker Chikeluba Ofoedu following a successful medical.

The Oak Zeel FC product has put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the 21-time champions of Israeli and joins the club on a free transfer.

Maccabi’s CEO, Ben Mansford, told the club’s official website: ''I am delighted to welcome ‘Chico’ to Maccabi as we continue to finalize the squad for this season.

''Chico had many options across Europe and it is a superb achievement from everyone at the Club, from Mitch to Vladamir, that we got this one closed out.

''We truly believe that Ofoedu will excite the fans as he is the type of player that has you on the edge of your seat.

''Chico is a player that is capable of scoring and providing opportunities for his team mates. Welcome to Maccabi''.

Ofoedu previously played for Turkish clubs 1461 Trabzon, Karşıyaka, Samsunspor and Eskişehirspor.
