Official: Super Eagles Attacking Midfielder Joins C.D. Nacional On Four-Year Contract
Published: July 19, 2018Super Eagles attacking midfielder Alhassan Ibrahim has joined Portuguese Primeira Liga new boys Clube Desportivo Nacional on a four-year contract, informs the club on their official webpage.
It would be recalled that Alhassan agreed a deal with another Portuguese topflight team Marítimo in June but the deal fell through at the last minute, paving the way for him to join a new employer.
The president of CD National, Rui Alves, traveled to Nigeria, where talks were held with the president of FC Hearts, which eventually led to an agreement between the clubs.
Having played for the Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles, the F.C.
Heart Academy product made his senior debut in the Super Eagles 3-0 rout
of Togo in an international friendly last June.
The 21-year-old was part of the Super Eagles squad that narrowly
lost 3-2 to Atlético Madrid in a post-season friendly held in Uyo on May
22.
Alhassan Ibrahim previously wore the jerseys of Wikki Tourists and Akwa United in his homeland, plus Austrian club Austria Vienna.
