Official: Austria Vienna Announce Signing Of Ex-Chelsea Full Back
Published: July 23, 2018Austrian Bundesliga club FK Austria Vienna have completed the signing of Chile international Cristián Cuevas, informs the official website.
The left-back cum left winger joins Austria Vienna from Chilean Primera División side Huachipato FC on a season-long loan with a purchase option inserted into the agreement.
Cuevas began his career at O'Higgins before he was acquired by Chelsea in 2013 on a five-year deal.
The 23-year-old did not make a single appearance for the Blues and spent time on loan at Vitesse, FC Eindhoven, Universidad de Chile and Sint-Truiden, and last defended the colours of Twente in the Netherlands.
Prior to his senior debut against Poland this June, he played for Chile's U20 team at the 2013 Fifa U20 World Cup in Turkey.
Cristián Cuevas was handed the number 23 shirt during his unveiling.
