Nigerian Winger Linked With Summer Move Left At Home By Liverpool
Published: July 30, 2018Nigerian winger Sheyi Ojo has been omitted from Liverpool's latest roster for a training camp in France this week.
Ojo has been linked with a departure from the Anfield club before the close of the summer transfer window, with Middlesbrough, Wolfsburg and Reading all credited with an interest.
Of the seven matches played by Liverpool so far during their
pre-season preparations, Ojo has figured in six, against Chester,
Borussia Dortmund, Blackburn Rovers, Bury, Tranmere Rovers and Manchester United.
Having run the rule over the England U20 World Cup-winning winger, it is thought that manager Jurgen Klopp has sanctioned the player's departure so that he can continue his development elsewhere, if he is not sold.
Ojo was part of the Fulham team which earned promotion to the Premier League in 2017-18, playing 22 Championship games for the Cottagers and previously enjoyed loan spells at Wigan and Wolves.
Meanwhile, Dominic Solanke has been named in the Reds 29-man traveling party for the training camp.
Liverpool Roster : Kelleher, Grabara, Alisson, Karius, Van Dijk, Klavan, Moreno, Robertson, Phillips, Gomez, Alexander-Arnold, Clyne, Matip, Milner, Keita, Fabinho, Grujic, Lallana, Camacho, Wijnaldum, Jones, Sturridge, Ings, Origi, Shaqiri, Salah, Mane, Firmino, Solanke.
