Official: Tanzania Announce Hiring Of Super Eagles Legend Amunike
The Tanzania Football Federation have hired Super Eagles legend Emmanuel Amunike to be the new coach of their senior national team, Taifa Stars.

The Federation unveiled the former Barcelona winger on Monday, August 6 and he has put pen to paper on a two-year contract.

This is Amuneke's first job since he resigned as coach of Sudanese club Al Khartoum Watani in March 2018 and his first assignment is a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Uganda next month.

He has coached the Nigerian U17 and U20 National Teams and was in the dugout when the Golden Eaglets won the Fifa U17 World Cup for a fifth time in 2015.

Before Amunike's appointment as the coach of the Golden Eaglets, he had managed local clubs Julius Berger and Ocean Boys, and was once assistant coach of Saudi Premier League side Al-Hazm.

The 47-year-old played for the Super Eagles on 27 occasions and was a member of the 1994 Africa Cup Of Nations-winning squad before representing the national team at the World Cup in the United States.
