Official: Carpi And Jerry Mbakogu Agree To Terminate Contract
Carpi have informed that Nigerian striker Jerry Mbakogu will no longer play for the club with immediate effect.

The Biancorossi announced through their official website on Monday, August 6 that the contract of Mbakogu has been terminated by mutual consent.

The 25-year-old had two different spells with Carpi, making 133 appearances in all competitions and scoring 37 goals while providing 22 assists.

In the 2014-15 season, Mbakogu was directly involved in 22 goals from 30 games for Carpi and was recognized for his impressive performance after he was named in the Serie B Team of the Season.

The Lagos-born frontman has spent most of his career in Italy representing Scorzè Peseggia, Padova, Palermo, Juve Stabia and Carpi, apart from a brief loan spell at Russian club Krylia Sovetov in 2016.

Mbakogu was not in the Carpi team that lost 2-0 to Ternana in the second round of the Coppa Italia on Saturday.
