Swansea Beat Crystal Palace, Wolves To The Signature Of Released Arsenal Defender
Championship club Swansea City have won the race for the signature of promising Nigerian defender Samuel Okoye.

Youth Hawk has informed that Okoye is amongst the Swans twelve first-year scholars for the upcoming season.

It is understood that Swansea City decided to offer the teenager a scholarship deal after the coaches worked closely with him during pre-season training.

Okoye tried out at Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers before heading to Wales after he was informed by Arsenal he was not going to be kept on for the 2018-2019 campaign.

The former Arsenal U16 defender departed the Gunners without making a competitive appearance for their U18 team.

Okoye could make his debut for The Swans when they take on Fulham in the U18 Premier League on Saturday, August 11.
