Ugbo Scores Fortuitous Goal As Chelsea Hit Swindon For Four in Checkatrade Trophy
Young Chelsea's Nigerian striker, Ike Ugbo was among the goals as the Blues reserve side brushed aside 2018/2019 EFL Checkatrade Trophy opponents, Swindon Town 4-0 at the County Ground on Tuesday evening.

The 19-year-old starlet started for Joe Edwards boys in the cracker while his compatriot midfielder, Tariq Uwakwe was named amongst the substitutes, hopping off the bench in the 83rd minute to help his side's cause.

On the other side, young Fulham loanee, Elijah Adebayo was in action for the entirety of the game though he could not help his side avoid defeat in his debut appearance for The Robins.

Super Eagle Ola Aina and Faustino Anjorin were, however not included in the visitors traveling party.

A close range effort from Marc Guehi rebounded in off Ugbo in the 89th minute after Swindon keeper, McCormick had made a superb save to deny the Nigerian.

Further goals which ensured Chelsea started off as heavy favorites in the Southern Group C of the competition came from Charlie Brown (2) and another from Charly Musonda.

Chelsea still have group stage games versus Newport County and Plymouth Argyle to navigate as they seek to make it to the next round of the competition.
