Real Madrid World Cup Star Joins Chelsea Subject To Medical
Published: August 08, 2018
Real Madrid midfielder, Mateo Kovacic is on the verge of completing a temporary move from Santiago Bernabeu to join up with Premier League giants, Chelsea, if breaking reports are anything to go by.
The Spanish La Liga club is blessed with so many midfield talents to choose from and Julen Lopetegui deems the 24-year old not in his plans for the activities of the imminent season, with Luka Modric, Casemeiro, Toni Kroos, Isco among the established starters above him in the pecking order.
Kovacic made seven appearances for Croatia in their run to the showpiece of this summer's World Cup and has established himself as a reliable midfield option for his country.
He will become the third arrival at Stamford Bridge since Maurizio Sarri took over the reins, following in the footsteps of Jorginho and Robert Green.
Sky Sports News has reported that the Croat is currently in London to undergo a medical with the Blues and will spend the 2018/2019 season with the club if everything turns out well with the two parties involved.
