Official : Ex-Barcelona Midfielder Leaves Chelsea On Loan
Published: August 10, 2018Chelsea midfielder Josimar Quintero will spend the new season at Lleida Esportiu, informs the Spanish Segunda División B side on their official website.
The 21-year-old was loaned out to Rostov last summer but was recalled due to his lack of first-team opportunities at the Russian club, before he was farmed out on loan to Betis Deportivo Balompié in January 2018.
Quintero joined Chelsea in the 2013-2014 season and has yet to make a competitive appearance for the London club.
He was a member of Chelsea squad for their campaign in the 2015-2016 UEFA Youth League and was on target against Porto in a Group G fixture.
Born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, he was on the books of the youth team of Barcelona for eight years, having moved to Spain at the age of five.
Josimar Quintero has one cap for Ecuador's U20 team and is also eligible to represent Spain.
