Samuel Kalu Transfer Scandal: How Rohr Plans To Break Ligue 1 Rules Again, Bordeaux Admit Winger Not Qualified
Contrary to reports in the local media that attempted to discredit allnigeriasoccer.com's exclusive report on the true situation of Nigerian winger Samuel Kalu, Bordeaux have officially admitted that their new signing is NOT qualified to play in the Ligue 1 at the moment.

Croatia U21 star Toma Basic who was signed barely four days ago has been named on Bordeaux 19-man roster for their Ligue 1 opener against Strasbourg at Stade Matmut-Atlantique on Sunday, while Kalu who completed his transfer to the club about a week ago has been left out for administrative reasons.

Bordeaux legend and Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr has been contacted by Kalu's camp and he assured them and his former employers that the former Gent winger will definitely be called up for the Super Eagles upcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Seychelles ans Libya, and this will pave the way for his transfer to be approved by the Ligue de Football Professionnel.

This is not the first time the German-born Rohr, who is in the possession of a French passport, will attempt to circumvent Ligue 1 rules and the last time he was successful, having handed an undeserved call-up to Porto's Chidozie Awaziem before his transfer to Nantes.

Awaziem's lackluster display on his competitive debut against South Africa in June 2017 put Nigeria's qualification for the 2019 AFCON in jeopardy and the defender is to be blamed for at least one of the two goals conceded by the Super Eagles in that game.

Kalu's predicament could potentially ruin his career as he may find himself inactive for several months before he can play in the Ligue 1, and that's if he gets assistance from Rohr.

The parties that brokered the deal that took the 20-year-old to Bordeaux have been blamed for taking a player to a league without knowing the rules.

Allnigeriasoccer.com has repeatedly contacted Bordeaux press chief Aurelie Carrey for the club's official statement but she has chosen not to comment.
