Gbolahan Salami's Proposed Move To Étoile Sportive du Sahel Collapses
Nigeria international Gbolahan Salami will have to continue his search for a new club following his release by Kazakh team FC Irtysh Pavlodar ten days ago.

Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that Etoile Sportive du Sahel had offered Salami a three-year contract without him undergoing trials, only for the striker to pull out of the deal at the last minute.

The 27-year-old would have been paid the biggest wages since turning professional if he had accepted the offer from Etoile Sportive du Sahel.

Salami has parted company with his long-time agent Yomi Itshekure and claims to have teamed up with Emmanuel Ibru.

He had previous stints at Sunshine Stars, Shooting Stars and Warri Wolves before transferring to his first foreign club, KuPS in Finland, in February 2016.

Salami was a member of the Flying Eagles squad at the 2009 FIFA U20 World Cup in Egypt but was behind Odion Ighalo and Kehinde Fatai in Samson Siasia's pecking order of strikers.
