IK Start Nigeria International Lists Three Qualities Of New Signing Akinyemi

IK Start's Nigeria international midfielder Afeez Aremu reckons that new signing Adeleke Akinyemi is capable of making the grade at the Norwegian Eliteserien side.

The recently turned 20-year-old frontman showed glimpses of his potential when he made his competitive debut for IK Start in a 1-1 draw with Strømsgodset on Sunday after only a few training sessions with his new employer.

''Akinyemi is a good finisher, he's also good in one-on-one situations when faced with the goalkeeper,'' said Afeez Aremu to allnigeriasoccer.com.

''He has the fighting spirit to run a defense down, which really helped us in yesterday's game.

''I am helping him to settle quickly. I talk to him how everything goes here, what the coach wants and what he doesn’t want.''

Aremu recovered from injury in time for the meeting against Strømsgodset and went the distance at the Marienlyst Stadion (Drammen), while Akinyemi was substituted in the 84th minute.
