Arsenal, Ajax Amsterdam & Anderlecht Keeping Tabs On Three Golden Eaglets Stars
Published: September 07, 2018
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that three European clubs are keeping tabs on three Golden Eaglets stars at the ongoing WAFU-UFOA Zone B qualifiers for the 2019 Africa U17 Cup of Nations.
Arsenal, Ajax Amsterdam and RSC Anderlecht are monitoring the performances of Samson Okikiola Tijani, Akinkunmi Ayobami Amoo and Olatomi Alfred Olaniyan with a view to signing the players when they attain the age of majority.
The three midfielders started the two Golden Eaglets group matches against Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast, with Amoo picking up the Man of the Match accolade in the 5-1 rout of the Little Elephants on Thursday.
Olaniyan also impressed in the Golden Eagles fantastic victory over the Ivorian team, scoring a brace inside the opening ten minutes.
It is envisaged that the interested European clubs will sign the players on a pre-contract agreement if they continue to sparkle in the Republic of Niger, just as was the case with Udinese's capture of Isaac Success after the striker impressed at the 2013 U17 AFCON.
Despite losing their opening game to Burkina Faso, Nigeria are the only team guaranteed a semifinal spot of the six countries competing in Republic of Niger.
