Fit Super Eagles Stars Iheanacho, Ndidi Resume Training With Leicester City
Published: September 13, 2018Nigeria internationals Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi are in contention to face Jordon Ibe's Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday, September 15.
The two young stars were pictured training with Leicester City first-teamers at Belvoir Drive on Thursday morning, having returned to the United Kingdom after representing the Super Eagles in recent games against Seychelles and Liberia.
Meanwhile, Foxes manager Claude Puel revealed in the pre-match press conference this afternoon that Iheanacho, Ndidi and other internationals returned to the club in good physical condition.
''They all came back with a smile. I am happy because they came back in good fitness and a good mentality. It’s important to come back with desire and focus for their club,'' Puel said.
''We have Matty who has had a little surgery on Wednesday to correct something but it’s okay and I hope he can come back with us soon. I am a happy trainer to see all my other players fit.''
