Son Of The Soil Troost-Ekong Is Early Bird In Super Eagles Camp; Rohr Leading By Example
Published: October 08, 2018Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that William Troost-Ekong is amongst the first invited players to join the Super Eagles at their get-together in Uyo ahead of Saturday's 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya.
The Udinese defender was sighted at the Akwa Ibom airport on Monday morning and flew in from the nation's capital, Abuja.
Based on his appearances for his Italian Serie A club, it is a foregone conclusion that the Akwa Ibom native will be one of the first names in the starting line-up to face the Mediterranean Knights.
Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr is leading by example as it is confirmed that the German football tactician has already arrived at the Ibom Hotel & Golf Resort, Uyo, awaiting his pupils.
The former Bayern Munich defender was spotted at the local airport this morning having flown from Lagos.
He will begin observing a majority of the invited players on Tuesday, October 9 when the first training session is held.
