Super Eagles Star Troost-Ekong Humiliated By Udinese Boss; Substituted Before Half-Time
William Troost-Ekong has had a tough time in his last four matches for Udinese in the Italian Serie A and manager Julio Velázquez has run out of patience with the Super Eagles star.

The central defender was hauled off after another horror show in the 35th minute of their 3-0 loss to Napoli at Dacia Arena (Udine) on Saturday evening.

It was not an injury enforced substitution by the Bianconeri Friuliani coach but a tactical change, the Nigerian was culpable for the first goal conceded by his team after making a wrong pass.

Prior to Ekong's substitution, he had a poor passing accuracy of 52.9 percent and touched the ball only 19 times, according to data from Whoscored.

He won no aerial duels, made no tackle, interception and clearances, and this sums up his poor performance against Napoli.

Troost-Ekong has started all the nine matches played by Udinese in the Serie A and it remains to be seen if he'll return to the starting XI against Genoa next weekend.
