Victor Osimhen Scores Dramatic 95th-Minute Winner As Sporting Charleroi Stun Zulte-Waregem
Published: October 21, 2018
Former Golden Eaglets sensation Victor Osimhen notched a brace to help Sporting Charleroi snatch a 3-2 win against Zulte-Waregem on day eleven of the Belgian First Division A on Sunday evening.
Cristian Benavente surprised the goalkeeper to open the scoring for Sporting Charleroi in the 44th minute but two goals from Hamdi Harbaoui in the 73rd and 83rd minute saw the home team trailing 2-1.
Then the Victor Osimhen show started, the teenager blasted in the rebound after goalkeeper Bossut saved a shot from substitute Perbet in the 85th minute.
The game was heading for a draw but the Wolfsburg loanee struck deep into five minutes of stoppage time to earn Royal Charleroi all three points.
Osimhen headed home following a fine assist from Cristian Benavente and took his tally to four goals in his last four league matches.
Osimhen's other goal came in the Belgian Cup against Eendracht Aalst last month in a 2-0 win.
