Also in the same mini league, Senegal was able to win over Sudan. Sidy Sarr scored the only goal in the match 10 minutes before full time. It was a sad day for Sudan as they were beaten in their own home ground.
Group A standings give Senegal and Madagascar an early lead with 10 points each. On the other hand, Equatorial Guinea has 3 points and Sudan has none are at the bottom of the league.
Tunisia and Egypt already secured a place in Cameroon next June. They were both able to beat Niger and eSwatini (formerly Swaziland) in their Group J.
Tunisia got an early lead over Niger when they scored 2-1 goals in Niamey. On the other hand, Egypt beat eSwatini after Ahmed Hegazy and Marwan Mohsen scored the only two goals in the match.
Egypt showcased their prowess despite not having Mohamed Salah on their squad. He sustained a strained muscle thigh.
Group E standings have also had its fair share of standings. The Nigerians are currently at the top of the Group E with 9 points. In second place is Bafana Bafana with eight points. Libya is in third place with four points.
The Super Eagles were able to improve their standings after beating Libya in both the first and second leg.

The second leg saw them finish with 3 goals against the Mediterranean Knights 2 goals in Sfax.
In Group F Kenya and Ghana are both at the top of their group with seven points.
This after Kenya beat Ethiopia 3-0 at Kasarani stadium. Ghana, on the other hand, was not in action after Sierra Leone was suspended by FIFA earlier this month.
The next course of action will be taken after talks between the CAF body in Sierra Leone and FIFA officials met.
Ghana has gone to beat their chests as they await their next match with Kenya. The latter is determined to make their way to Cameroon next year after fourteen years of missing out.
