Super Eagles Attack-Minded Style Of Play Pleases Rohr, Analyzed South Africa Vs Libya
Published: October 27, 2018Gernot Rohr has said that he was satisfied with the attacking display put on by the Super Eagles players during the two Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Libya in Uyo and Sfax.
The Super Eagles netted seven times against the Mediterranean Knights, with Odion Ighalo accounting for five of the goals while Ahmed Musa and Samuel Kalu also registered their names on the score-sheet.
Nigeria's next opponents in AFCON qualifying, South Africa, did not have the solutions to break down the organized Libyan defense when both teams faced off on match day two.
''I was very satisfied, not just because of the results, but with the way we played – particularly our attack-minded style of play, which earned us seven goals,'' said Rohr to Kick Off Magazine.
''It was not easy to play against Libya as they are a good side. I had analysed their game against South Africa on video and thought they played very well.
''We knew it wasn’t going to be easy, but we were technically and tactically well prepared.
''After a tricky first-half at home, we really played well in the second-half of our 4-0 home win and also in the reverse fixture, despite the two goals we conceded. In the end we won both games and are very satisfied.''

After four matches in Group E of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, Nigeria lead the way with nine points followed by South Africa who have eight points and have not conceded in any of their games.
