Etebo Resumes Full Training Ahead Of Rohr's Squad Announcement But Shehu Still Listed As Out
Stoke City star Oghenekaro Etebo is back in contention to be called up to the Nigeria squad for their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa on November 17, allnigeriasoccer.com understands.

The hardworking midfielder resumed full training with the Potters last week Thursday but the game against Bristol City (October 27) came too soon for him.

Etebo has not played a single minute for Stoke City since he returned to the United Kingdom after the AFCON qualifiers against Libya due to a hamstring injury.

But the good news which will be sweet music to the ears of manager Gernot Rohr is that the former Nigeria U23 sensation is expected to play his comeback game when Stoke City host Middlesbrough on November 3.

The German is expected to name his roster for the crucial match against Bafana Bafana in the coming days.

In a related development, Bursaspor's Abdullahi Shehu is still listed as out.

The right back is still recovering from a thigh muscle injury that ruled him out of the return leg against Libya and back-to-back games against Galatasaray and Alanyaspor.

Shehu is unlikely to feature for Bursaspor in tomorrow's Cup clash against 1461 Trabzon.
