Super Eagles Get Huge Injury Boost Pre-South Africa As Key Winger Resumes Full Training
The Super Eagles have been handed a huge injury boost ahead of their trip to South Africa for an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier next week, with news that Bordeaux winger Samuel Kalu's injury troubles are behind him.

Regional French newspaper Sud Ouest has reported that the Bordeaux number ten trained normally with his teammates on Monday and is in line to return to the squad for the Europa League match against Zenit on Thursday.

Kalu was omitted from the trip to Olympique Lyonnais three days ago due to a throat-related ailment.

France U21 international of Ivorian descent, Yann Karamoh, deputized at the right wing due to the absence of the Super Eagles star.

Manager Gernot Rohr would be delighted that Kalu has returned to training as he has been installed as the successor to the retired Victor Moses, who called time on his international career in August 2018.

The former Gent star started the last three competitive matches played by the Super Eagles against Seychelles and Libya.
