2018 WAFU U20 Cup of Nations : Nigeria To Face Bitter Rivals Ghana In Group B
Published: November 13, 2018The Flying Eagles have discovered their opponents at the 2018 WAFU U20 Cup of Nations in Lomé following the draw that took place on Monday, November 12.
Paul Aigbogun's side will come up against regional rivals Ghana in Group B of the tournament which will hold 6-16 December in Togo.
Nigeria will also face off with Republic of Niger and Republic of Benin in the group phase.
In Group A, Togo, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Senegal will battle it out.
With qualification already assured for the 2019 U20 Cup of Nations, the WAFU U20 Cup of Nations serves as preparations for next year's tournament in Niger.
The top four teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland as the CAF representatives.
