RSA Vs Nigeria Cracker: Super Eagles Legend Okocha Names The Team That Will Be Under The Most Pressure
Published: November 13, 2018Nigeria legend Austin Okocha believes that South Africa will be the team that will be under pressure to register a win when they battle the Super Eagles in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on Saturday.
Heading into the fixture, the three-time African champions secured maximum points in their last three matches in the qualifiers and top Group E with nine points, one more than their next opponents.
In thirteen previous meetings between the two nations, Nigeria have won seven, drawn four and lost two, most recently on the opening day of the AFCON qualifiers in June 2017.
''The previous games have been played but the most important is the next one. Sometimes you might look back to draw motivation going into the next game, which could be key for us going into this one,'' Okocha told KickOff.com.
''For me, most important is for the players to understand, which I’m sure they do, that it’s a game they can’t afford to lose if they want to qualify for AFCON.
''If we win, that’s our ticket to Cameroon, so the pressure is really more on Bafana Bafana, which makes it also an interesting match to watch.''

The Super Eagles have not qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations since 2013 when they won their third title in South Africa.
