Stoke City star Oghenekaro Etebo is confident that the Super Eagles will pick up the qualification ticket for next year's Africa Cup of Nations when they take on South Africa this weekend in Johannesburg.
Etebo who was speaking after the team's first training session on Tuesday in Asaba also believes that the team is in high spirit ahead of the match.
Nigeria will take on South Africa on Saturday at the FNB Stadium Johannesburg, needing only a point to qualify for the showpiece event on CAF's football calendar in 2019.
Etebo who was speaking after the team's first training session on Tuesday in Asaba also believes that the team is in high spirit ahead of the match.
''After our away win in Libya, the task has been made less complicated, a win or a draw gets us qualified and I am sure we will get that,'' Etebo told allnigeriasoccer.com.
''As you can see we are taking the match very seriously, we all made sure we got back to camp on time and confidence in the team is high.''
Etebo also praised the facilities at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba.
The central midfielder commended the Delta State Government for the work done on the Stadium but also urged them to do their best in maintaining it.
''I am surprised and excited to see this kind of facility and above all the turf, I am from Delta State as you know and throughout my time here all we had was AstroTurf.
''I appreciate the state government for this pitch but I also urge them to maintain it. As we know, the hard work is in maintaining the facility,'' the number 8 added.
