Stevenage Wonderkid Begins Training With Flying Eagles Ahead Of U20 AFCON
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Stevenage wonderkid Edward Ogbebor-Onaiwu has started training with the Nigerian U20 National Team with a view to a possible inclusion on the roster for next year's Africa U20 Cup of Nations.

The British-born goalkeeper arrived in the country's capital, Abuja in the early hours of Thursday morning and was passed fit enough to join the second training session which started at 1600 hours.

Ogbebor-Onaiwu has long been on the radar of the Nigerian Federation and previously received call-ups to train with the Golden Eaglets and Dream Team VI.

The 18-year-old trained with the three other goalkeepers in camp during the goalkeeper training under the guidance of Suleiman Shuaibu before the session was rounded off with a practice game.

The former Crystal Palace and Charlton Athletic Academy glovesman is comfortable with the ball at his feet at all times, very vocal, reads the game well and a good shot-stopper.

He represents the U18 team of Stevenage and occasionally trains with their first team when they are short on goalkeepers.
